A "new final text" of CETA now exists. It was largely thanks to the citizens pressure - not EU or Canada policy - that the 2-years old text was revisited, and ISDS "removed" from it. But that is only but a really small step to make this text acceptable. For instance, CETA still maintains it's "DRM chapter", which, in summary, blocks both Canada and EU to make any changes on their current laws regarding the legal protection of DRM schemes, actually hindering the ongoing copyright and "intelectual property" reforms on EU. Ratification of the current text is expected to happened in one year. We should not cry out victory for ISDS, but take this step as assurance that, with a strong voice, CETA can be fixed - or ditched.
